Computer Aided Design,

Computer Aided Manufacturing

-Martin Wilde was one of the first jewellers in the country to start using Matrix design software during 2008 and it’s become an essential part of our business.

-If you require a bespoke piece, Martin creates a design, often from scratch via the computer software. He can create designs as simple as a single stone pendant to a detailed bespoke motor bike trophy….. He loves a challenge.

-We understand it’s difficult for many customers to visualise a discussed design and this is where the Matrix software offers a helping hand. Martin renders the design created on the computer as if it were a photograph of the finished item. You can view the item from all angles and make as many changes as you wish, with ease and at no extra cost.

-The advantage of creating a piece of jewellery with this method is you are able to have piece of mind that you’ve previewed the design and ensured it’s perfect before it’s made.

-Once a design is chosen we then email our 3D model to our caster. After approximately 2 weeks our design arrives to us in the required metal. We can CAD CAM in silver, 9ct and 18ct yellow, white and rose gold, 22ct, palladium and also platinum. We are unable to remodel your existing metal for this method of manufacturing.

-Once our cast item arrives to us, Martin sets stones that either you or we have supplied. A polish and clean is the final and a key part to completing a computer aided design.

Here are two examples of this method and more can be found on our ‘Commissions’ page.
